MICHELLE BEYER LPC-S, RPT
Hi, I'm Michelle.

I help parents find their footing, without judgment, without pressure, and always at your pace.

I started out working with kids. Then I noticed the parents in the waiting room. They were exhausted, overwhelmed, and holding it all together by a thread. That's where my heart went and it never came back. I wanted to be the person parents could call when they were done pretending everything was fine. I still do.

Then I became a parent myself, and everything I knew professionally took on a whole new dimension. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum brought a range of feelings I wasn't fully prepared for, from moments of complete joy to being physically sick and emotionally overwhelmed. Becoming a mom felt like suddenly belonging to a club you knew existed but didn't really know until you were in it. The support systems are so variable. The hormones are real. And every single person's journey looks different, even when there's an invisible thread connecting all of us who have been through it. I carry all of that into the room with every parent I work with.

I opened my private practice because I wanted to create something that felt different from the beginning. A place where you could walk in, or log on, already knowing you wouldn't be judged. Where the work would be real and sometimes hard, but the relationship would always feel safe. Where you could say "I didn't think of it that way" and mean it, and leave feeling a little more like yourself than when you arrived.

Working with me is warm, collaborative, and honest. I bring unconditional positive regard into every session, which is a clinical way of saying that nothing you tell me is going to change how I show up for you. There will be sessions that are emotional and challenging and intense, and that's okay. Part of my job is to hold that space so you can move through it without feeling like you're doing it alone. I will challenge you when it's the right moment. And we will always go at your pace.

Starting therapy is anxiety inducing. I know that. Most of my clients come in a little nervous and leave wondering why they waited so long. If you're not sure you're ready, that's okay too. The free 15 minute consultation is just a conversation. No commitment, no pressure. Just a chance to see if it feels right.
